Hello, my name is Michael Colon-Leon and I'm a 3D artist. I've been using 3D softwares such as Blender since highschool to create immersive environments and high quality models. Over the past year, I've assisted small businesses and individuals on their projects. These projects range from industries such as film and marketing. I always look forward to further developing my skill set!

3D Modeler / Clocky LLC / Sept 2024 - Dec 2024
-Retopologize 3D models from CAD software to Blender to fix shading and z-fighting issues
-Finalize mockups of products, working closely with supervisor to make adjustments as needed within 3D softwares, Illustrator, and Photoshop
-Render SolidWorks models, experiment with different render engines and material shader set-ups
-Showcase consumer products by compositing 3D models into stock images

Thesis / Beep & Boop / Sept 2024 - April 2025
-Worked with five colleagues to develop a 3D story.-Responsible for 3D modeling characters, 3D animation, props, rigging, texturing, lighting, rendering, editing, and compositing.-Helped speed up workflow by researching and implementing tools to speed up rendering and collaborative developmentWatch Beep & Boop on Youtube!

Collaborative Project / Lovestruck / Sept 2024 - Dec 2024
-Worked with two colleagues to develop a short 2D animation with some 3D backgrounds.
-Responsible for 3D modeling a classroom, some 2D animation, compositing, and sound design.
-Goo Engine was used for NPR base render of the classroom, which was then overlaid by lighting information from Blender's Cycles. Compositing was done in After Effects and consisted of using color blending to overlay Cycles with NPR renders, masking 2D animations over 3D models, creating contact shadows for 2D characters on 3D environments, and color correction.Watch Lovestruck on Youtube!
